GameLAB

GameLAB is a public engagment project ran by Fact & Fiction Films in collaboration with Oxford University Clinical Research Unit as funded by the Wellcome Trust UK's. Its aim is to engage young Vietnamese's interest in science through methods that would appeal to them. As gaming is an increasingly popular activity, with competitor gamers earning millions of dollars, GameLAB decided a project that brought science into games would be engaging and unique to Vietnam.  GameLAB ran various activities online and offline. It all accumulated to the 48 Hour Game Jam, where teams of scientists and game developers worked for 48 hours straight to create exciting science themed games.
